Consider adding a checkbox to the New Tab customization pane or about:preferences#home for users to be able to hide the Firefox logo without having to create a userChrome.css file.

This has been a frequent topic on support forums over the last few months, and the existing workaround — setting all results for newtabLayouts to false in about:config — does not work anymore as of the latest Nightly.
