I read the release notes to make sure my request hasn't be added as well as searched for similar requests before submitting this to bugzilla. I think the following enhancement request will help keep large volumes of archived email organized. Before netscape mail and mozilla mail, I used elm. Elm would copy my sent message to the appropriate folder as long as the folder existed and had the name of the send-to email "address" (i.e I'm sending an email to address@some.server and I have a folder named Mail/address). To make up for what elm used to do, I periodically go through the Sent folder and file the messages away into their appropriate folders. I think it would be really cool if I could choose the folder I want my message saved to in the composition window. It could be a new option in the email composition window that says: Save Sent Message To: [Drop down box of folders] The drop down box would always default to the Sent folder specified in your preferences though. Feel free to make this a low priority because I do have a work around. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Ok, I felt guilty and I found the rpms on mozilla.org and I installed the latest versions. I never tried the Options -> Send To before. I ignored it because I always though it was a backwards way of adding a cc'd address. I now just realized that this option did exactly what I wanted. I'm so sorry if I wasted your time. I guess the only thing that would make sense for me is if the wording "Send a copy to" was changed to "Save a copy to". $ rpm -q mozilla-mail mozilla-mail-1.3-0_rh7
-> wfm :-)
