Steps to reproduce:

Mark text e.g. here on Bugzilla.

Actual results:

The context menu is displayed immediately. It is not possible to reposition this menu. The menu entries can therefore cover web page elements such as buttons.

Switching the display to landscape mode is a workaround, but cannot be considered a permanent solution.

Expected results:

Either show the context menu only after another user action and / or make it possible to move the menu. If I remember correctly, moving is possible under iOS / iPadOS (independent of Firefox).

I am not sure whether this problem is correctly placed at the application software level or belongs to the operating system level.

Possibly bug 1939740 covers the counterpart on desktop Firefox.

AFAIK, this is OS level. I'll set the severity but investigation will be needed to confirm if we can modify this behaviour.

I will continue to observe the behavior. The phenomenon may no longer occur. However, it is possible that my memories are blurred because I use other Firefox versions such as “Fennec (F-Droid)” in addition to “Nightly”. So I still need to verify this.
