  • Nightly 142.0a1

Affected versions

  • Nightly 142.0a1

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: Windows 11, Ubuntu 25.04, macOS 15

Preconditions

  • Enable the new avatar picker by setting browser.profiles.updated-avatar-selector to 'true' in about:config.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Navigate to about:editprofile.
  2. Open the avatar picker by clicking on Edit.
  3. Upload an image of choice and drag the selection corner (top-right) as far as possible toward the bottom-left.
  4. Observe the behavior of the Selection UI.

Expected result

  • The user should not be able to reduce the selection UI to the size of a draggable dot.
  • Dragging the selection area to a corner should not reveal the image in the opposite corner.
  • The selection UI should not be obscured or hidden behind scrollbars.

Actual result

  • The selection UI can be resized to a dot.
  • Dragging the selection area to one corner reveals the opposite corner of the image.
  • The selection UI can become hidden behind scrollbars.

Regression range

  • This is not a regression, it's introduced with the new avatar picker.

Set a min size for the selection.
