An animated GIF with about 500 frames of 640*480, 2MB in file size, requires
plenty of memory.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
display the image
(directly, without webpage)

Actual Results:
The Mozilla process grew to 500MB.
While this made my 512MB-computer only swap noticeable,
it is probably a big problem for less endowed computers.

Expected Results:
The image should be diplayed without problems.

I found bugs that look similar, but since the are more than one year old, I dare
to report it again.

Actually bug 105370 is the more specific bug addressing the memory usage of large animated GIFs. (Note both this bug and bug 250290 refer to the same GIF image, and both can be dupped to 105370).
