User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 12; Mobile; rv:141.0) Gecko/141.0 Firefox/141.0
Steps to reproduce:
-Began after updating to ver 141, no prior issues. Galaxy s10+
I suspect this is related to face and fingerprint integration, as disabling these functions has caused the same animation delay upon unlocking phone, but never in Firefox until this update.
- I tap the square to open tab list, on any homepage or website.
Actual results:
- The circle animation will display and then hang for 2~3 seconds.
- Then the tab list will pop up after hanging and behave as expected.
-Swiping tabs behaves normally and is unaffected.
-Making a new tab via burger menu is unaffected.
-Long press of tab square to close tabs, or make new private tabs is unaffected.
-Occurs in both newest version of Firefox, and Firefox Nightly.
Expected results:
Tapping the tab square should instantly pop-up the current tabs list without delay.
Thanks for reporting this. Can you share your device make and model? I'm not seeing this delay on my Pixel 8 on 141 release.
FWIW I'm inclined to say this is not related to PBM lock at all based on this:

Sounds like this is an underlying issue (possibly OS related) that is now also surfacing in PBM for you, but it's not a bug within the feature or something we can address.

Thanks for reporting this. Can you share your device make and model? I'm not seeing this delay on my Pixel 8 on 141 release.

It's possible it would be isolated to devices who disabled fingerprint / face unlock through adb, however I have been using all versions of Firefox prior to 141 without issue.
I can test re-enabling both with adb and see if it behaves normally or persists, that would confirm it.

Apologize for the delay.
I have confirmed it is specifically related to the disabling of the following:
1: com.samsung.android.bio.face.service
2: com.samsung.faceservice
Upon re-enabling both on my device through adb the lag on the tab button is gone and it functions normally. It seems unrelated to fingerprint services. This remains only applicable to 141, no lag on any prior releases while disabled.
