Details

Firefox Enterprise, Firefox Nightly, Firefox release and Firefox ESR can all be run concurrently

  • Users cannot launch a non Firefox Enterprise browser with a Firefox enterprise profile

  • Users cannot launch Firefox enterprise with a non Firefox enterprise profile

  • Switching to a non-enterprise profile on Firefox Enterprise
    - No other profiles should be displayed in about:profiles
    - The user shouldn't be able to launch Firefox Enterprise themself in any way, e.g. firefox -p non-enterprise-profile in their terminal

  • Switching to a enterprise profile on e.g. Firefox Release:
    - We shouldn't display any enterprise profile in about:profiles

There's some basic blocking in profile manager but manual user overrides need profile encryption to be foolproof.
