Implement a new feature in Alerts View that utilizes the API to add comments on bugs which caused performance improvements. The bugzilla comment should include the "perf-alert" keyword, and the bug should be automatically linked to the summary in Alerts View.

Prerequisites:

  • Before working on adding automated comments, we should change the bugzilla bot that we use from the “Intermittents Bug Filer”/”Intermittents Bug Commentor” to our own “PerfSheriff Bot”. We would need to work with the bugzilla team, and SRE folks to get new accounts and the keys setup in our treeherder env.

This feature could be further enhanced to automate the responses that sheriffs currently add manually for backout comments (addressing the performance changes caused by backouts).
