(Clone of 1956346, split out because the avatar picker has been rewritten and no longer shares much code with the theme chips)
Hovering the theme chip or the avatar chip in the editprofile and newprofile pages should show a label with the name, like: Change to [themename] theme. We'll need to follow up with content design to get final strings.
It turns out some of the theme color descriptions may overflow or be truncated, so we'd like to make it possible for users to see the full string without also breaking the chip layout.

Verified as fixed with Firefox 144.0b2 and the latest Nightly 145.0a1 on Ubuntu 25.04, Windows 11, and macOS 15. Tooltips are now displayed for the avatars.
Jared, on Ubuntu 25.04 with the dark OS theme, the tooltip background appears transparent, making them difficult to read (see Bug 1839349). Could you please take a look at the screenshot. What's your take on this?
