The implementation shows the main VPN card with a border color and no drop shadow. After Jamie consulted with Jules, we have the go ahead to proceed with the design as shown in the mocks. Note this applies to both the connected and not connected states.
If the drop shadow can't be done, please consult with Jamie for a fallback plan that relies on border colors.

In https://mozilla.slack.com/archives/C09063J8KCZ/p1753305408404869 the consensus was that we were going to go with box component styling to avoid having the appearance of an extra layer when there is a card on top of another card, but it sounds like that changed?
Santiago, Is this a blocker for Alpha or can I move this to the alpha follow-up tasks?
It seems as though this is being revised. The reviews we did with Leadership did reference the mocks implementation so I'd be wary of making a change to what has already been approved. My understanding is that we are now going to try to get the drop shadow implemented but lmk if that's not accurate.
Just discussed with Lesley and we are moving this to "fast follow".
Also, in recognizing that in Slack a decision seemed to have been made towards not using drop-shadow, I think it's fair to say this is more of a task rather than a bug. Sorry for the back and forth folks.
