Sidebar was blank first time i started mozilla 1.3, if i minimize it and restore it it also disappears

Sidebar was blank, so i hit the x, upon pressin f9 it came back with my links
and all, but if i minimse it by clickin on the arrows, and restore it, it
disappears again (shows nothing), closing it and pushin f9 fixes this as well

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.minimise your sidebar
2.close mozilla
3.open mozilla
4.restore sidebar

Actual Results:  
Blank Sidebar

Expected Results:  
showed the tabs in the sidebar(whats related, search, bookmarks, history)

I am using the modern theme
special info on my pc:
Windows 98 first edition
Pentium 3 on its last legs,
192 mb ram
aim running
avg antivirus running
