1985114 - Weird animation transition when clicking a menu item that closes the menu

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Firefox Nightly or Debug
2. Open menu
3. Click settings

Expected behavior

Menu closes without any weird animation transitions

Actual behavior

The items (text, icons, etc.) first disappears followed by the background causing a weird transition.

This is the final week of Fx144 Nightly. Fx144 goes to Beta on 2025-09-15.

:RJ, do you plan on getting a review and landing this in time to ride the train with Fx144?

Sorry for the late reply! No, I don’t plan to get it landed in time for Fx144. The regressor is locked behind Nightly so this bug shouldn't appear in Beta or Release.
