I updated to ver 142 and all my bookmarks are GONE

Details
20 years of bookmarks are gone. just wiped away for absolutely no good reason with no notice or warning. I am about to wipe away 25 years of using firefox because it effs up my browser EVERY time there is an update. I am very pissed off.

To help us investigate, could you share more details about how you updated to Firefox 142 (auto-update or reinstall) and whether you use Firefox Sync? Also can you check in Library/Bookmarks/Manage Bookmarks /Import and Backup/Restore to see if a backup is available as suggested in Comment 1? Thank you.
