The rules for urlbar width are here.

I updated this in bug 1978280 last week. Once browser.urlbar.trustPanel.featureGate becomes true by default, we'll save a few pixels here. It may be okay to go ahead and already use the smaller urlbar size for vertical tabs just like I did for taskbar tabs.
