Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open https://onedrive.live.com/
  2. Select Photos in the left pane.
  3. Click on one of the elements from the For You section (to see the section, you may need to have the Moments feature enabled).

Actual results:

The greyed loading screen is displayed (and nothing more).

Expected results:

After a short loading, the video is played.

Note: for me, that works in Edge on one device (Windows 10) but doesn't work in Edge on another device (Windows 11).

Also, here are the original user reports:

Webcompat Score: --- → 1

As written in subsequent comments, this is a series of screenshots that show how I get to the gray screen from OneDrive Live.

As stated in the comment below, this is a pdf with a series of screenshots that show how I get to the gray screen from the original source I am hoping to solve... a daily email that notifies me that I have photos taken on this day of the year in previous years with a link to look at them.

Hi. Here are .pdf documents of screen shots of two different processes to get to the gray screen. You sent the link from OneDrive Live. That is the first attachment. The second attachment is the original manner that I identified the problem, from an email received from OneDrive with On This Day memory photos.

As noted by swbff, only date/time-based thumbnail collections exhibit the gray screen, while location-based collections successfully load.

Looks like we should reach out to Microsoft about this issue.

For the people who can reproduce: are there any JS error or other suspicious-looking messages in the JS console?
