User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030320 Phoenix/0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030320 Phoenix/0.5 This image is originally from http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/sfanim.html but I saved it to my own server since this image gets updated every hour. Normally the image in the above url displays fine, but this one crashed my Phoenix. I can reproduce it every time with both Phoenix and Mozilla. The crash occurs after the 3rd frame of the animation, the 4th frame is never displayed. The time in the upper right goes up to 2 UTC and then the browser crashes. The weird thing is that when opening the image directly from my local disk (using file:// not http://) it displays ok and doesn't crash the browser. Tried with both Phoenix and Mozilla win32 builds dated 20030320. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the above url - a crash occurs. 2. Save the file to your local disk with another browser/wget. 3. Open the image from your disk, it shouldn't crash anymore.
Reporter, could you please enable talkback and post the talkback incident id here?

I tried, but the quality feedback agent just generates an empty report. "Show details" shows an empty box. Saving it creates a 0 byte sized text file.
Doesn't crash with Mozilla build 20030304. I'll download some other builds and do some testing.
Confirming with 2003032204, Windows XP. Have the same talkback problems as in comment 2 though. That talkback issue is not only on this crash, but all crashes.

Ever confirmed: true
I narrowed the bug down to these: 2003031714 - ok 2003031804 - crashes Unfortunately the talkback bug is in the 2003031804 build too.
