could be directly loading the existing page similar to AboutNewTab.newTabURL = 'chrome://browser/content/genai/pageAssist.html' and opening a new tab
or separate page using a shared component
maybe even as a temporary landed behavior add a checkbox in the sidebar view to temporarily override newTabURL
