Steps to reproduce:
On macOS Tahoe 26
- Install and enable ESET Cyber Security Pro.
- Try to open any website in Firefox.
Actual results:
An error message is displayed, saying "Firefox can't protect your request for this site's address through our secure DNS provider. Here's why: Firefox wasn't able to connect to mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com."
The message is displayed regardless of whether DNS over HTTPS is enabled or not.
Expected results:
The requested website is opened.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Networking: DNS' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

It's odd you're getting a DoH error if DoH is off. Can you re-verify that this happens with DoH off? Just for completeness, after disabling it try restarting the browser (shouldn't be needed, but just in case)
Can you provide the about:support info?
Can you provide the contents of about:config with modified prefs checked?
Are you running any extensions?
Thanks!

Hi Randell,
The reporter mentioned turning DoH off (attaching a screenshot) and restarting Firefox.
Valentin asked them to provide the about:support info a couple of weeks ago, but they haven't reached back yet. I'll post an update here once we get a reply.
