Taken from the requirements:

1. Rename the existing profile by appending something like “old” to indicate it’s the previous profile
2. Create a new profile and give it the same name as the old profile
3. If the old profile was the default profile, make the new profile the default profile
4. Store the metadata about the original backup in the new profile somewhere
