User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 13; Mobile; rv:143.0) Gecko/143.0 Firefox/143.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Watch landscape orientation video in fullscreen 8 (e.g. YouTube) on mobile device
- Switch on CC (Closed Captions or Subtitles)
- 'Subtitles/CC turned on' notification obscures the subtitles for around 10 seconds
Actual results:
Can't read subtitles for 10 seconds, which was point of switching them on.
Also, that significant area of the video is obscured due to black background to notification.
Expected results:
Subtitles turn on and any notification is minimal, quick and unobtrusive.
Notification is probably needed in case no subs exist to display, so in fullscreen mode, I suggest:
The usual notification appears, top left of screen, but only for 2 seconds, and with grey, semi opaque background.

Here is a video of the bug being reproduced.
I asked UX for insights about how we should solve that issue.

Actually I just test on Chrome, and I get the exact same behavior.
This is a bug on their website.
I'll close it as INVALID, but feel free to reopen it with more details if you think there's anything I missed, and the bug can be reproduced on other websites that don't behave the same on other browsers.
