Details
We've done a bit of work on Windows to improve the virtual desktop experience (see bug 1423768 and bug 1812489). I'm not sure if Mac has a similar concept, but I think all that would be necessary to get this behavior on Mac as well would be to implement Window.isCloaked for Mac.
