(Whiteboard: [fx-vpn])
We need to the ability to detect if we are viewing an excepted site. Once this functionality is added and Bug 1997411 is fixed, we can properly update the site exceptions settings card in the panel.
If mode is "all" (exclusions):
- Show a close X icon and "VPN is off" if we're viewing an excluded site
- Show checkmark icon and "VPN is on" if we're not viewing an excluded site
If mode is "select" (inclusions):
- Show checkmark icon and "VPN is on" if we're viewing an included site
- Show a close X icon and "VPN is off" if we're not viewing an included site
Testing
- If the current url is found as a principal in our "ipp-vpn" permission (eg. use IPPExceptionsManager), show checkmark or close icon + on/off description depending on our protection mode
- If the current url is not found as a principal, show the opposite icon + description depending on our protection mode
- The current url host name should be displayed in the exceptions settings button
Nov 17 edit: patch for Bug 1997411 will add a siteData object property that contains information like the site URL and exception status (type TBD). We should ensure that ipprotection-status-card is provided information from the ipprotection-content state.
