Steps to reproduce:
Opening and closing tabs
Actual results:

intermittent white/grey flashes when closing and opening tabs.
Expected results:
No flashes.
Started to happen maybe 2 weeks ago.
Things I've tried.
Uninstalling firefox,refreshing firefox.
Trying a different GPU driver.
turning hardware acceleration off/on.
Only Extension I use is ublock origin on medium mode.Happens even with it disabled for tested sites.
Could it be related to this bug?

It's not exactly the same but it's the only thing I could find remotely similar.
I have observed the same exact white flash on another PC.So it's not just a my PC using firefox.
I have found the the reason the white flashes are happening on firefox.
It's one of the visual performance settings on windows.I had it turned off.
It seems when the setting "animate controls and elements inside windows" is disabled it can cause sites like reddit or youtube to flash white when closing.

Something that wasn't a thing a month+ ago because I always had it disabled.
The only thing I notice now is that sometimes when clicking galleries/or clicking something like a sub forum on a site,instead of a seemless transition it's seem as if the whole page does a full refresh before transitioning to the new page instead of a seemless transition.This does not always happen.This is different from the white flash when closing reddit/youtube.This is more of the web page refreshing instead of doing a seemless transition.
I started to notice this happen with the white flash issue.I fixed the white flash issue but I have no idea how to fix the refreshing when transitioning to a different page when clicking thumbnails (for example)Again,it's a hit or miss when it happens.
I think they could be related since they started to happen at the same time.
Upon further investigation I think I noticed something.
When clicking galleries/clicking different sub forums back and forth and waiting for "it" to happen I noticed it's actually a quick flash.Very similar to the white flash when closing sites.
For example im clicking these posts on this sites.

Going back and forth between posts and the main page shown in the picture I managed to cause the split second black flash to happen before the page transitioned to the chosen post itself.
That is incognito mode.If I switch to normal firefox the flash would be white.
Thing Is I managed to fix the white flashing when closing by enabled "animate controls and elements inside windows" in the visual performance setting but I have no idea how to fix this flashing when clicking open a thumbnail/post.

I tried reproducing this on Windows 10 with Firefox 147.0 by opening and closing tabs, but I did not observe the intermittent white flash. Could you please check if the issue occurs in Troubleshoot Mode(to rule out extensions) and with a new profile?

There's still the occasional super quick white flash when opening galleries,forums threads like on that site I linked,It's random when it happens so it's not every time I click open something most of the time.
Did you try unticking "animate controls and elements inside windows">opening multiple reddit tabs and closing them all one by one?there's the other aspect of this issue.Quick flashing not when opening a gallery/picture or thread but when a tab is closed.
I can consistently fix this particular flash when closing tabs by enabling "animate controls and elements inside windows" in the windows performance settings.
