User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:144.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/144.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Added portal.azure.com in taskbar with option "Add tab to taskbar" with session active
- Open the Azure Portal via this shortcut, navigate to a couple of pages, then leave the browser for some minutes.
- Attaching the anonymized memory report, the leaking process at the time of export was PID 29520 with 12GB+ of usage.
Actual results:
- One of the firefox process slowly starts leaking memory, increasing the Working set memory in Task Manager indefinitely.
- The process keeps on consuming all the available RAM, until Windows starts to stutter, blacking out, and ultimately crashing.
- Killing the affected firefox.exe process frees up the RAM.
- about:processes and about:memory don't show any anomalies in memory usage in the concerned PID.
Expected results:
- No memory leak.
