Details

This bug is to limit the macOS thread priority change added in bug 1995638 to macOS 26.0 and so that it won't take effect on 26.1 and later.

The fix in bug 199563 was added to workaround a video freezing issue being hit on macOS 26 filed as bug 1989948.

We found the problem was reproducible on 26.0, but not 26.1 Beta (now released).

Apple confirmed that they fixed a bug related to video decoding thread priorities in 26.1 and suggested we limit our fix to 26.0 and not apply it for 26.1+.
