My pc crashed, and bookmarks vanished!

My pc froze, meaning cursor froze, pc unresponsive. Forced a reboot, and the
bookmarks vanished! This is the 2nd time in a week this happened. I don't know
if it makes a difference, but I am running Netscape 7 and the latest Mozilla.
They seem to share each other's bookmarks. Both browsers are missing them.
System restore did not restore the bookmarks. What is going on?
