(Whiteboard: [anchorpositioning:triage])
We implemented exposure of implicit accessibility semantics for CSS anchor positioning in alignment with Chrome. (See bugs blocking bug 1909354.) Unfortunately, there was never a formal spec for this, and contrary to our understanding, it seems there wasn't strong consensus for this. There was a decision in a WHATWG meeting at TPAC to not expose implicit semantics, which requires this to be removed from both Chromium and Gecko. However, Chrome accessibility engineers were not present at this meeting.
For now, I'm filing this bug to track this potential work. As to whether we actually do it, I first need to discuss this further with the Chrome accessibility team.
