In the classic Profile Manager window, all text is severely garbled. The issue appears in Firefox 146.0b1, 146.0b5 and persists through the latest Nightly, whereas 145.0.1 displays correctly. The corruption occurs in both en-US and zh-CN, with distinct garbled glyphs for each locale.
All other text is normal, including the title of this window, and other windows and pages.
STR:
set the StartWithLastProfile=0 in profiles.ini, then start Firefox.
mozregression gave me an approximate regression window: https://hg-edge.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=50d91cd836e67bc4d493fad2d57bb83a8e10f7a9&tochange=2065c7dd1223f4a61ca3f4529dc3daf687805207
[Tracking Requested - why for this release]:
severely garbled.

Bob, given the regression window, could this be a case of bug 1966716 interfering with a font the Profile Manager wants to use?

Quite possibly, if so this should disappear in 146.0b7 (I think) as this is only enabled on early Beta currently.
This may be fixed by bug 2001149.
Yang - would you test the latest Nightly, to see if the issue is still there.
Nightly (20251120203629) work fine now.

Hi YF! I tried to reproduce the bug using the steps from comment 0, but I wasn’t able to reproduce it on Windows 10 with an affected Nightly build (2025-11-20).
Could you please verify if this issue is fixed Firefox Beta 147 as well?
This issue is fixed in 147.0b3 & 147.0b6.
