Preconditions

• Download and extract Firefox Enterprise from here

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a normal Firefox build, open about:profiles and create a new profile, and choose a Firefox Enterprise folder.
2. Use the launch profile in a new browser option

Expected result

• The Firefox Enterprise profile cannot be opened with normal Firefox.

Actual result

• The Firefox Enterprise profile is opened with a normal Firefox instance.

This launches me a new profile but using the Nightly binary, not Enterprise.

I dont see Enterprise profiles from nightly's about:profiles

Indeed, Enterprise profiles are not visible in Nightly’s about:profiles. However, it is still possible to create a Nightly profile using the Enterprise profile folder, which allows access to the existing history and bookmarks - please see the screenshot.

This requires profile encryption to be foolproof.
