Details

Today, CA Owners update root certificate records by submitting Add/Update Root Request cases in the CCADB. Root Store Operators then review those cases and sync the data with the CCADB. This differs from how intermediate certificate records are handled, as CA Owners can update them anytime without requiring Root Store Operator interaction. 

We should consider applying the same or a similar self-service workflow to root certificate records.
