This seems to be not correct. I am classifying mail since the feature appeared (1.3a?). Very seldom, some mail is classified as junk, but most of the time not. Another issue is with moving junkmail: Junk mail isn't moved to junk folder automatically when in Inbox or Trash. But it is moved everytime when there was another filter, which put the message into another folder before junk mail control runs.
I'm using 1.4a on linux and have a movemail account. The junks won't be automatically moved to the junk folder even when I enabled the junk mail filter. Now I can only use "run junk mail control on foler" followed by "delete mail marked as junk in folder".

I have the mozilla 1.3 here with a movemail account and neither junk classification nor "move junk to junk folder" works automatically. All messages stay in the inbox with the classification "unknown" (the question mark). It seems the parts of automatic functionality is broken for movemail accounts; refer to bug 201055 which also deals with missing automatic functions on *movemail* accounts.

Bug 201055 is fixed now. Could someone check, if the automatic junk classification with movemail works now?

Setup is with one movemail account and two news accounts, no other mail account. Also this option is selected: "Move incoming message determined to be junk mail to 'Junk' folder on:" When coming in, junk is immediately detected and marked as such. But, removal to 'Junk' folder only occurs later when you klick on Inbox and when Inbox has not been focused when junk came in.

Junk classification still doesn't run automatically on new messages with movemail, as of Thunderbird version 2.0.0.14 (20080421), running on Mac OS X 10.5.3 (x86). The "Check for new messages every _ minutes" setting doesn't work with movemail either, maybe it's related?
