Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:146.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/146.0
Steps to reproduce:
I didn't do anything, I was on my computer doing my job, browsing the web and a power outage occured.
Actual results:
When the power was back, I immediately turned on my PC and opened Firefox, but to my surprise, it looks like my google chrome profile, all the bookmarks were replaced too. Sadly, I didn't sign in to any account; this is the first time that I encountered such an issue with Firefox. Please help. I really need those bookmarks for my job! I can't see it on the history list either!
Expected results:
It should keep my bookmarks and even without a signed-in browser profile.

I immediately turned on my PC and opened Firefox, but to my surprise, it looks like my google chrome profile, all the bookmarks were replaced too.
So both Firefox and Chrome lost all their bookmarks at the same time? This is pretty surprising.
You can try going to:
Help > More Troubleshooting Information
then clicking the button in the "Profile Folder" row, which will open Windows Explorer with your profile folder selected. Open that profile folder, then check for a "bookmarksbackup" folder. Copy the most recent 2 or 3 files from there, and paste them somewhere you can access easily.
Then follow the instructions in this support article.
Let us know if that works.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Bookmarks & History' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
