When in vertical tab viewing, open a new tab in Split View. From the left pane in the split view, right-click open link in a new tab. This erroneously opens the new tab in the split view replacing the left pane. The expected behavior would be to right-click open link and it gets added to the vertical stack of tabs as a new page in the browser. Notably, this is the behavior when the right pane in the split view has a link opened in a new tab.

This feature is still in development (which is why it was behind a pref/feature flag) and since its rapidly evolving you can find the latest of this on the Nightly build (148) - not in the release build, which is very outdated and only in the very early stages as of 146. At any rate, this issue has been resolved by bug 1998199.
