User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:146.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/146.0

Steps to reproduce:

I believe the only thing I did was update Nvidia drivers to 591.74. At least, that was the only explicit update action I took recently. To my knowledge, Firefox has not updated over the past few days.

Windows 11 Home, Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100
Firefox 146.0.1 (64-bit)

Actual results:

Suddenly found that I couldn't edit photos in Ghost blogging platform. I'm told that "WebGL not supported on this browser." This is something I use almost daily, so I know it was working prior to this. Brave and Chrome have no such troubles. I have verified the Firefox settings for WebGL, and it is active (I have not touched any Firefox settings for about a year now).

get.webgl.org reports, "Hmm. While your browser seems to support WebGL, it is disabled or unavailable. If possible, please ensure that you are running the latest drivers for your video card."

Expected results:

WebGL should remain active and available, as always.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Graphics: CanvasWebGL' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Can you please attach your about:support information?

Flags: needinfo?(development)

This is not the first bug we've seen recently about webgl suddenly stopping working.

When you attach about:support can you do so after you have tried and failed to use webgl? It might create useful error messages in about support.
