User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:146.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/146.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Have "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately" switched off
  2. Open "Firefox View"
  3. Go to "Tabs from other devices" (or any other section)
  4. Open any link in new tab

Actual results:

The browser view will switch to the new tab, regardless of "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately" option.

Expected results:

The tab should open in the background/not get switched to, given that the user specified that behavior.

Also note that there is a similar issue on Bookmarks (bug Bug 331666 ) (and bug 1603888), but unlike with bookmarks, altering that about:config does not appear to change the "Firefox View" behavior. So this is a separate issue.
