Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:146.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/146.0
Steps to reproduce:
Opened a PDF with Firefox and started adding elements using the text and the drawing tool.
Actual results:
After a few switches between the text and the drawing tool, none of the tools buttons on the top right of the PDF viewer were clickable/selectable anymore. I couldn't find any particular action leading to this bug. I had to close and reopen the PDF file (without leaving the Firefox session) to make it work again. This bug occurred several times, on different PDF files.
Expected results:
All tools should continue to work.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::PDF Viewer' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

When it happens, could you open the dev tools console either with CTRL+SHIFT+K or in clicking on "Inspect" in the context menu ?
Then you should very likely see an error message displayed in the console, if it's the case could you copy and paste it here ?

Hello! I have tried to reproduce the issue with firefox 148.0a1(2026-01-) on Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04, unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce the issue.
Could you please answer the following questions in order to further investigate this issue
- Does this issue happen with a new profile? Here is a link on how to create one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles
- Could you please provide a video with the issue?
