The decision has been made that we will not be further extending support for ESR115, meaning that it will be reaching EOL with the release of 115.33esr on February 24. As a result, the language on the above two articles should be updated to reflect that, i.e.:
Mozilla will provide security updates for Firefox 115 ESR until at least February 2026, at which point the position will be re-evaluated.
to
Mozilla will provide security updates for Firefox 115 ESR until February 2026, at which point no further updates will be released.
And
Updates delivered through ESR channel until ~February 2026.

Hey Kiki, could you take a look at this and assign accordingly. Thanks!

This should be simple enough, so go ahead, Paul.
I don't think we need a Gdoc draft for this, so feel free to submit a revision directly in the article and share here for review.

It seems that Flavius has already approved the windows article, and I just approved the macOS one. Before we mark it RFL, though, I just proposed a new update to better highlight the end of support information in the macOS varticle.
@Paul would you please review my revision and align the the windows article accordingly?
Thank you!

The current version of the macOS article has the following message below the screenshot:
Mozilla will provide security updates for Firefox 115 ESR until February 2026, at which point no further updates will be released.
Kiki's proposed revision moved the message above the screenshot and changed it to a warning, with the following content:
{warning}Mozilla will provide security updates for Firefox 115 ESR until February 2026. Following that, the version will no longer receive updates and users are encouraged to upgrade.{/warning}
I submitted a new revision to clarify that security updates will continue until the end of February 2026 (ref.) and users are encouraged to upgrade their version of macOS. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-macos-1012-1013-1014-moving-to-extended-support/history

I submitted a revision to the Windows article that's pending review, to highlight the EOL message and clarify that ESR updates will continue through the end of February 2026. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-windows-7-8-and-81-moving-extended-support/history

To clarify, Paul can make changes to the pending revisions but he doesn't need to approve them. I already submitted a revision to the Windows article and Michele submitted another pending revision to the macOS article.
For the record, this bug should have been assigned to Flavius after Paul submitted his Jan 26, 2026 revisions (The "Content intake workflow SUMO blog" says at the end, Once the KB revision is submitted, please also assign the ticket back to the technical writer responsible for the product.)

Flavius, can you review the pending updates to the Windows and macOS articles, mark them RFL and close this bug if no other changes are needed? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-windows-7-8-and-81-moving-extended-support/history

I have reviewed the edit as requested to the macOS edit. It looks like Alice has picked up the work on the Windows article.

Thanks all! I updated the warning section on the windows article to match what we have on macOS. But otherwise, all good now. Both articles have been marked RFL.
Marking this as resolved. Thanks for everyone's collaboration on this!

Your update added "you are encouraged to upgrade your version of macOS" to the Windows article. A revision is pending I approved a revision to change macOS to Windows. Can you review it and mark the revision RFL? (I would do it myself but my full reviewer permissions have not been restored.)

Oopsie..
Thanks, Mark! I just marked Mark's revision as RFL, so we're good. Thanks for keeping us in check, Alice. (:
