Steps to reproduce:

Browsing https://www.google.co.uk/maps and zooming in and out a few times.

Actual results:

This results in a black map display and above error in the Web Console.

Expected results:

Google Maps continues to show map tiles correctly.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Graphics: CanvasWebGL' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

It looks the error message is missing from the comment in the bug report. Could you paste it here?

I am unable to reproduce this locally, so a recorded profile of the bug would be very useful to diagnose it. Could you:

  • Type about:logging in the url bar and go there,
  • change the logging preset drop-down menu to "Graphics",
  • hit the "start logging" button,
  • open google maps and reproduce the bug,
  • switch back to the about:logging page and hit the "stop logging" button.

This will open the profiler in a new tab. From there, please click the "upload profile" menu in the top right of the page and click "upload".

This will give you a link to the profile that you can paste here for us to look into and investigate.
