Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:147.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/147.0
Steps to reproduce:
User logged in Google Account
Text document opened in Google Docs
- Type a word or character
- Select a word/character
- Start typing a new word/character
Actual results:
Only one character (in the form of the selected one) appears at a time in place of the selected word/character as you press the keys. That is, if you want to type the word “Hello,” the selected text will be replaced by “H,” then “e,” “l,” and “o.” At the end, only the character “o” remains in place of the highlighted text.
This error occurs on all profiles. It does not occur on other browsers.
Expected results:
The selected text disappears and is replaced by the new text you have typed. All characters you type are inserted without being replaced one by one.

Can not reproduce the issue on neither Ubuntu 24.04 nor on Win11 using Firefox 147.0 and 147.0.1, characters are correctly updated without delay on gmail doc.
Marisa, can you please a sample doc with the issue? Thank you.
