This message (for me in French language because I works with this language).

The bookmark and history system will not be operational because one of the Firefox files is currently being used by another application. Some security software may cause this problem.

The bookmarks and history lists are empty on the screen.
A restart of Firefox fixes this issue.

This issue occurred with 140 Firefox release. I does not warned of an application that use a Firefox file.

Expected results:

Bookmarks and history should be available on the start of Firefox running.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Bookmarks & History' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hello! I have tried to reproduce the issue with firefox 149.0a1(2026-01-21) on Ubuntu 22.04, unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce the issue.
Could you please answer the following question and the ones above to further investigate this issue
