2012141 - update Thunderbird Rust code to 2024 edition

The Firefox MSRV was bumped to 1.87.0 for Firefox 148. Our Cargo.toml files already inherit this (bug 1992464), so we don't need to fix anything, but this does unblock bumping our Rust edition to 2024. 1.87 is one version shy of if-let chain support, but there are still a bunch of other nice quality of life improvements in the 2024 edition that make bumping this worthwhile.

And Firefox MSRV has been bumped to 1.90.0 for Firefox 149 by bug 1975583.

Switches all local Rust crates to 2024 edition, and resolves all compiler
errors/warnings and clippy warnings.
