This was tested by a user that that requires alternative navigation and uses Windows Voice Access

Video clip: Tabs cannot be resized with Voice Access - SSO required

STR:

Before starting this test, please also have 3 tabs open (on any sites you'd like). For example, one tab could be with the "Firefox Privacy Notice" website as it is usually opened with any new installation of Firefox.

Task

In Firefox, navigate to one of the tabs you have open at the top of the browser. Select to open the context menu to see more options for this tab, then select the "Add Split View" option. Confirm, another tab has opened within the same Firefox browser window. Then select the second tab for the split view. Confirm the second tab was added to the split view area. In those two tabs, search for (any) two places and interact with both tabs in the split view. Adjust the tab sizes, for example make the first tab wider.

Review the Split View feature, whether it meets your expectations, and any accessibility improvements you would suggest for this feature.

Expected / Actual:

While trying to resize the tabs, the tester says: 'As you guys saw there, changing the size of the splitview tabs is extremely difficult with voice access because you have to ... pinpoint the exact spot to drag and stuff, and it's very difficult and finicky with voice access.'

A minute or so later, the tester makes the following suggestion: '...it would be really nice if there was a preset button or something like that. Then you can change the ratio that way... by clicking the button itself that's preset ... Now it's preset to click like 60-40 or 50-50. 60%, 40%, or 70%, 30% type of deal.'
