Context:
- In https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1934319 while working on emulation work, I discovered that unlike browsertime tests(which launch a input screen providing an option to run an emulated test), the mozperftest tests on mobile do not give you an easy intuitive option to launch an emulator if no mobile device is connected
What we are doing here:
- We are going to make it so that if you DO NOT have a mobile device connected, you will be provided an option to launch an emulator when running mozperftests.
Why we are doing it:
- Growing importance of emulation capabilities and growing importance of mobile testing, with not everyone in the org having a physical phone giving an emulated option is a good first step to make sure everyone has all the things they need to work on fenix.
