The new chat button in the aiwindow sidebar no longer clears the chat state on click. The user has to start prompting the model to see the new convo.

looks like bug 2013393 changed some behavior preventing immediate clearing

Repro the issue with an affected Nightly build (2026-02-06) using macOS 26.
The issue is verified as fixed on latest Beta 149.0b1 under macOS 26, Win 11 and Ubuntu 24.04.
