I'm not following the issue. Is this something specific to tabs in a splitview or general tab or group behavior?

It seems that this is no longer reproducible with 149.0a1 (2026-02-13) on Windows 11, macOS 26 and Ubuntu 24. Most likely bug 2013464 fixed this, since I can reproduce the issue with a build before that patch.
