Thanks for filing this! I was able to reproduce this issue. Anna, do you know where the code to fix this lives? I'm unfamiliar with VoiceOver commands.

We need an a11y severity for this, as we need to assess priority against all other bugs. Nat, could you or Anna help with this please?

Hi Sarah! I've gone ahead and added the Accessibility Severity (s2) to this since this is an issue with keyboard support. Let me know if you need anything else!

Im not able to reproduce - I was able to select options in this menu as expected. I used Voiceover key (configured as capslock) + space to open the menu, arrow keys to select each, and VO+space to perform the action such as separate the split view, close both tabs.

The severity field for this bug is set to S3. However, the accessibility severity is higher, .
:sclements, could you consider increasing the severity?

I can unfortunately still reproduce this on macOS 26.3 and Firefox 149.0a1 (2026-02-19).
While browsing through the navigation bar by VO commands I can open the menu but cannot select any options inside it directly.
I have seen that by focusing out of nav bar with VO+Shift+UP (this way focusing on the entire nav bar, not on specific buttons), it can select the first option in the context menu (Separate tabs) with VO+Right arrow, pressing again will jump straight to the opened website, and pressing VO+Left to go back to the context menu this time will select the last option (Close both tabs), but still cannot browse through them as expected.
Here's attached a new video to represent the scenarios above mentioned.

Tahoe 26.3 and Firefox 149.0a1
It looks like I'm encountering the issue as well. Control+Option+Space will open the menu but I'm unable to get into the menu. I tried Control+Option and up/down/left/right arrow keys. I tried the commands for entering/exiting a group too (Control+Option+Shift and the up/down arrow keys)

Thanks for confirming both.
Nat, since this only seems to be with this specific version of macOS are there any pointers or suggestions for handling this? I'm also curious if this is a widespread issue once this version was released.

Hey Sarah, it isn't specific to Tahoe (26), it is reproducible on Sequoia (15) too, mentioned as well in Comment 0.

Hmm I'm also unable to reproduce this on Nightly v149.0a1 (2026-02-23) and Tahoe 26.2. I used Ctrl + Opt + Space to open the menu, then Ctrl + Opt + Arrow keys to navigate items in the menu which I can select with Ctrl + Opt + Space.

FWIW I can't repro either Tahoe 26.2 (25C56) nor since updating to 26.3 and 149.0a1 (2026-02-22/2026-02-23) (aarch64) and my steps match comment 10.
Could there be broader settings that affect the VO behaviour?

(In reply to Kelly Cochrane [:kcochrane] from comment #10)
I used Ctrl + Opt + Space to open the menu, then Ctrl + Opt + Arrow keys to navigate items in the menu which I can select with Ctrl + Opt + Space.
Using these keys also, I am no longer able to reproduce. Perhaps something changed?

Catalin, would you mind testing again with the latest Nightly build? No one on our team seems to be able to reproduce this.

Yes, I looked over 150.0a1 (2026-02-26) and it does seem to be working now as expected on macOS 26.3.
Edit: Also verified on 149.0b2 and it's fixed there as well, all good!

Going to close this out since people can't seem able to reproduce anymore. Please reopen if needed.
