Found in
- Nightly 149.0a1
Affected versions
- Nightly 149.0a1
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: Windows 11 x64, Ubuntu 24.04 and macOS 15
Preconditions
- Google is set as the default search engine.
Steps to reproduce
- Perform a Google search by entering a search term in the URL bar.
- Add a note to the Google results page.
- Right-click the tab and open it in a new container (e.g. @Personal).
- Copy the Google results URL from the tab that has the note.
- Open a Private browsing window.
- Paste the URL and press Enter.
Expected result
- In both steps 3 and 6, the Google results pages should display the note added in step 2.
Actual result
- The note is missing on both the page opened in the new container and the one opened in Private Browsing. For more details, please see the screen recording.
Regression range
- Not a regression.
Additional notes
- An extra attribute is appended to the URL (e.g. &sei=q6KMaa_VOYeL9u8P963bmAg). If this attribute is removed, the note appears correctly in the affected tabs.
- The issue appears to be intermittent and is easier to reproduce on a new profile.

Notes are esentially lost (for a normal user), so I am raising severity to S2.
Severity: -- → S2
