User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:147.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/147.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open any YouTube video (e.g. https://youtu.be/JTm1aClf-fg?si=a0qhrapQkr6ynLzn).
  2. Hit Play and watch the application-level volume on the system panel (it should be set to ~50%).
  3. Correct the volume in the app-level controls, as the current volume is way too low.
  4. Use the video seek bar to switch to another point in time, and watch the volume level again. The same behavior should be observed when switching to another video.

Actual results:

Volume will always reset to about 49%, ignoring my previous selection.

Expected results:

Application volume level should either reset to 100% or remember my last selection.

I cannot reproduce this on Chromium. I'm running openSUSE Tumbleweed and Firefox 147.0.4 (64-bit) packaged by the distro. I was instructed to report this upstream. See the downstream bug report [1].

I'm running KDE Plasma. Here's the system details:

Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20260220
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
Kernel Version: 6.19.2-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i3-10100 CPU @ 3.60GHz
Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.5 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6600
Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
Product Name: B460MDS3H

I cannot reproduce this on any other sites I've tested so far: bandcamp.com and vimeo.com.

Actually, this might be a duplicate of [1]. I couldn't find it the first time I was searching for similar issues.
