Found in

  • Firefox Enterprise v. 149.0a1 (2026-02-21)

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: All

Preconditions

  • Be logged into Firefox Enterprise.
  • Make sure to disable the "Open previous windows and tabs" options in about:preferences.
  • Have some tabs open.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use CTRL+Shift+J to open the Parent process Browser Console.
  2. Restart the browser using Ctrl+Alt+R.

Expected result

  • The browser is restarted, the previous tabs and the Browser Console are opened.

Actual result

  • The browser is restarted but the session particulars are lost (the previous tabs and the Browser Console are NOT opened.)

Additional notes

  • Enabling the "Open previous windows and tabs" options fixes the issue.
  • This issue does not reproduce in regular Firefox.

Use CTRL+Shift+J to open the Parent process Browser Console.
Restart the browser using Ctrl+Alt+R.

Need to investigate whether this intentionally triggers some special behavior - the behavior of Firefox Enterprise here seems like expected?

Severity: -- → S4

Hello,
As a note, restarting using the Fx quick filter has the same outcome.
Thank you.
