We should keep plain move if popup fits toplevel but convert it to xdg_popup and use hide/show sequence if the popup resizes.
Long term solution may be https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/issues/8076 - direct use of exported xdg_popup and mitigate gtk3 missing resize implementation.

The Bookmarks folder menu opens in the upper-left corner after adding a bookmark via drag and drop. I can reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly 153.0a1 and Firefox 151.0.3 on Ubuntu 24.04. I looked for a regression window and it appears that Bug 2015320 may be the regressor.
STR:
- Set the Bookmarks Toolbar to "Always Show".
- Create a bookmarks folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
- Bookmark a site by dragging its tab onto the folder.
- Click the folder and observe the menu position - for more details please see the screen recording.
@Martin, could you please take a look and let me know if I should file a new bug for this scenario, or if it is expected to be fixed by the patch in this bug?
